BB pocketcards App Reviews

These pocketcards was just what I was looking for. Sometimes thats what we need when a textbook would be too much of a hassle to look for information. Now I have just bought the full version of the software (and some more modules of needed topics).

This app containing so many pocketcards available in one sort of build your own library clearly supersedes the first app versions of individual pocket cards. Thank You! This is fantastic now because the amount of content and valuability of the content was never the issue - those who know the companys print versions can attest! What was missing in the original individual pocket card versions was some more functionalities, which are now available including searches across all topics, notes and bookmarks, back up features and navigation. Its also great to have a selection of cards all in one app, rather than to close in and out of individual apps on the phone like before. The Summer Sale is recommended, a great value and smart idea to reintroduce the pocket cards in a new system. Kudos!

All I have to say is that if youre an intern, buy this app right now!!

Wow, this is really great, I wish I knew they were gonna have this sale before buying a couple of these guys’ apps a while ago! It’s an awesome deal!

This has everything and more. I like endocrine so I gear toward Diabetes and I much say, the references are on point. You cant beat the price for the quantity AND quality of what you get. Awesome!!!!!!!

Latest update as of August 10_V2.1: The latest updates description mentions "bug fixes & performance enhancements" but I think BB is being a tad modest or cryptic..either way I will tell you what Ive found: 1)The app to me feels super snappy now--feels at least 50% faster to use & navigate! 2) If you were having intermittent iCloud issues--well theyve been totally fixed!-one single switch enables automatic icloud backups of all your notes & bookmarks! 3)But all you really need to know until September arrives with the bigger iPhone 5 screens (hopefully ;) is.... The BB Pocketcards app NOW DOES LANDSCAPE MODE perfectly! The Landscape mode provides a beautiful clean full screen view which makes up for the lost real estate due to bars in Vertical mode. In a funny way now that I can get a clean view in L mode, I am content with the bars in V mode as they help keep reference of where I am in each app! So overall WIN-WIN and this is just the second update, thanks BB! Updated Review: This is truly once in a lifetime deal for those of us lucky enough to be in the Medical/Healthcare field & own an iPhone! Most of us are always complaining about how medical publishers love to jack up prices and scalp us for for all were worth well heres Borm Bruckmeier providing quality medical apps (I have owned & used several of their apps & physical media) for an amazing price! I just now counted up the separate detailed subjects which are 32 in number, divided the summer promotional (9.99) by 32 and it comes down to almost...are you ready for this? 32 cents!!!!! You cant even buy a bookmark at a medical bookstore for that much let alone a qualified resource!!! 32 apps for 32 cents each...that is unheard of !!!!! For other prominent medical publishers on iTunes, I SINCERELY wish you would learn something here. For medical students & doctors, there will never be a better time or price..TRUST ME..what an investment! Over the moon on this one.. Much thanks&gratitude to BB for the promotion....I will be treating my pts better as a result and you will be a part of the reason! Original review: Before I had heard of Borm Bruckmeier apps, I had seen several of their pocketcards being used out on hospital floors during clinical rotations and internship by fellow students. After taking a look at them, I loved em at first sight, heavily laminated, strong binding but still slim enough not to notice 2 or 3 sets in a labcoat pocket. I was planning on buying a few actual card sets when the BB apps came out for my iPhone & Ive been a fan ever since! For me, a quick perusal over the first app I bought for Neuro (highly recommended!) from BB totally won me over as I loved the meticulous planning that went behind providing the right information in such limited space. These pocketcards provide the perfect balance between overkill and not enough. They load fast and are presented in classical card format overview as well as topical. You WILL need a good foundation of basics & clinicals via texts but out on the floor its simply not feasible to carry books around,even pocketbooks. Ive left more than I care to admit lying around in the lounges only to come back & find them missing. I love using my iPhone now to call out quick info from the BB apps as they provide succinct information and more key, they provide it in context. This truly helps strengthen associations and provides excellent review. Ive saved my skin many times knowing I will be pimped at afternoon rounds by doing a quick review through the app. Like every medical student, Ive spent the better part of my life buying tons of medical books and media from various sources because limiting yourself to what scores high on Doodys reviews or works best for your friend is never a good idea. It is always about what works best for you. It is no small task to clear away the superfluous and leave the absolute quintessential extraction of information that will guide your thinking processes and in my opinion, Borm Bruckmeier seems to do this beautifully! Also, I should mention that I am not reviewing BB alone here, I have bought more than 50 Med apps from iTunes many great ones for 99c and some awesome ones that were worth upwards of $50. The fact that BB are offering their ENTIRE suite for $10 right now is AMAZING considering Ive paid more on a post party binge at Jack in the Box! Anyone practicing or learning medicine should TOTALLY BUY THESE WHILE ON SALE! They are worth it TRUST ME! Totally awesome Thank you BB for the great sale!!!

Ive always used these cards to a point that they are more a talisman. Its mice having the cards in one spot but the navigation is akward at best, to th point that I would rather have my money back so I could buy the individual cards. The cards score big with me.., this app... not!

Navigating the user interface is extremely hard in this app. They need to figure out how to make it more user-friendly and then maybe this app would get a five star rating, because the information is very important.
